What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that websites store on your browser. Cookies help sites remember who you are, keep you logged in, and operate securely. We use only the cookies necessary to run Truvee safely.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies (required)
These cookies are necessary for Truvee to function. You cannot use Truvee without them.
- truvee.sid: Your authenticated session. Expires after 30 days or when you log out. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax.
- truvee_csrf: Cross-site request forgery protection. Expires after 24 hours. Readable by JavaScript for form submission.
- truvee_cookie_consent: Remembers your cookie preference selection. Expires after 12 months.
Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies from third parties. We do not participate in behavioral advertising networks or cross-site tracking.
The following third-party services may set cookies when their components load on our pages:
- Stripe: For payment processing and identity verification. Cookies are set only when you interact with Stripe-powered checkout or verification. See Stripe's cookie policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: For bot protection on registration and password reset. No tracking cookies. See Cloudflare's Turnstile page.
Controlling cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but Truvee will not function without essential cookies (you won't be able to log in or send a Truvee). We do not set non-essential cookies, so there is no tracking to opt out of.
Do Not Track
We honor Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals by not performing any tracking, regardless of DNT setting. Because we do not track users across sites in the first place, DNT has no additional effect on Truvee.
Changes
If we introduce new cookies in the future, we will update this page and notify active account holders by email at least 14 days in advance.
